Rainbow Regatta Chicago - 2020
2020 was a tough year for all. The race time and date were moved, and almost canceled. Yet we pressed on, as if in a squall.
We saw 12 boats registered, with 10 competing. We saw 4-5' seas, and heavy blow. Yet competitors persisted, and tested their heavy weather skills.

This year, Rainbow Regatta Chicago is dedicated to the memory of Capt. Brian Wiles of Jackson Park Yacht Club.
Brian tragically passed away on Aug. 23,2020. He was an accomplished sailor having sailed multiple Mac Races with Team Mis en Place from Jackson Park Yacht Club (JPYC) along with several other regattas around the world. He was Team Leader for the newly founded JPYC Race Team aboard the Edward B. Stein. He was an ardent supporter of diversity and inclusion in all aspects of life.
