Rainbow Races is proud to announce the creation of the FIRST US Sailing sanctioned LGBTQ Sail School in the country!
Summer 2022
The school will open summer of 2022 to adults of any orientation, or gender identity. US Sailing Basic Keelboat classes on weekends. Questions? Want us to let you know when classes start? Click the button below and drop us a line!
The Boat
The boat acquired is a 1979 Scampi 30, currently located in Detroit Michigan. We will be launching the boat in early May to arrive in Chicago by late May/early June.
The Transformation!
Our vessel was named HardTack when it was donated to us. We've since held a public comment and period of voting to rename it. The winner in the end was The Queens' Revenge. We then decided to give her a royal update using Total Boat .
1st Class!
From Mustard Yellow and Catsup Red to gorgeous teal with crisp white and red lines; from Detroit Michigan to Chicago Illinois, We now have our FIRST US Sailing accredited sailing class completed! Do YOU want to learn to sail? Click the image for more info and join us on the water!
